More news from our Campus socials! We have set up Campus North, Midlands and South youth circles. They are for young men and women learning together with good spiritual, political and contemporary conversations around tafseer, current affairs, reminders and the planning of social/community action projects. The above picture is from the most recent Campus South social, and here is what one of our attendees have to say: ‘Good turnout today mashallah. Today we discussed ayah 143 from Surah al Baqarah - but really only the concept of Wasatiyyah and where it applies in our lives. I tried to let them come up with the points, but I had 55 examples up my sleeve (In accordance with the wasatiyyah of teaching we only got through about half of them!) I had asked them to memorise the first part of this ayah (English&Arabic) but they struggled! So we chatted a bit about why memorisation is useful. Our ice breaker at the start was for everyone to share an interesting fact that they know or have learned from their course or from something they’ve read recently.
