A review and summary of the most recent Campus day seminar, 'Love Actually.'
Recently, ISB Campus participated in another Masterclass named “Love Actually.” The day course involved numerous interactive workshops covering the issues of relationships, love and marriage in Islam. Having attended all previous day courses, my expectations of an insightful day, thought provoking talks as well as a wholesome and friendly atmosphere were most certainly fulfilled.
Throughout the day, tricky topics were unfolded and explained clearly. Campus is consistently a place where young adults are able to ask difficult questions without any fear of judgement, something I feel is so important for my generation. Some of the key take home points for me encompassed the idea that mercy, love and companionship are intrinsic to a healthy marriage and also establishing what actually constitutes a marriage ceremony. The reason I continue attending Campus is not just because of the knowledge from exceptional speakers but simply because the company is much like a second family to me. The interaction inter and intra gender is constantly respectful, the mentors always helpful and the vibe so fulfilling. As always, I left feeling more knowledgeable on the topic of marriage and wishing there had been more time!
